The Route Ship manager is responsible for the operational, nautical and technical management of the ro-ro (passenger) vessels and operational management of charters in the North Sea. He/she is also responsible for the seafaring deck and technical personnel of our client. The Route Ship Manager is regularly on board to be aware of current and future challenges. This, combined with the alignment with the company's vision, ensures sound advice, assessment and decision to ensure that passengers and trailers can sail to England and Europe every day. With the technical maritime background, the Route Ship Manager knows how to support the ships and the Charter ships in all areas. He/she will also carry out audits and inspections to ensure that the ships comply with the various regulations. Responsibilities: · Providing technical and maritime support to the various vessels; · Conduct regular inspections to ensure that ships are maintained as required, and that necessary operational and support is provided to each ship; · Together with the crewing department, you will provide a suitable crew; · Responsible for the maintenance of the ships. Because of the passengers, we expect a high level; · Supporting the fuel and energy efficiency team; · Ensuring that each ship is compliant with the various regulations of the type of flag, class and other regulatory bodies at all times; · Ensuring that annual budgets are prepared and implemented in a timely manner for each ship; · Preparing and supporting the dock periods; · Maintain contact with stakeholders and experts to ensure the reliability of the route. Our ideal candidate: · Experience as Chief Engineer Officer. · Experience in the Ro-Pax sector; · Willing to travel to the ships and open to be working in the Dutch office at Rotterdam a few times a month; · Knowledge and understanding of operational maritime issues; · You have experience working with a multidisciplinary team; · Developing, motivating and influencing a team is not a challenge for you; · You have or had the Coc Chief Engineer Officer certifications; · Excellent command of the English language; · Some level of the Dutch language is an advantage.
