Short Description
Lowland Marine & Offshore is actively recruiting for the position of Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) to work on a large offshore construction vessel. Here are the key qualifications and responsibilities that are typically associated with such a role: Key Responsibilities: - Electrical Systems Management: - Oversee the maintenance and operation of all electrical systems onboard the offshore construction vessel, including power generation, distribution systems, and automation controls. Maintenance & Repairs: - Perform preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment such as motors, generators, transformers, and navigation systems. Troubleshooting: - Diagnose and resolve electrical faults or malfunctions in systems like DP (Dynamic Positioning), automation, and communication systems. Safety Compliance: - Ensure all electrical systems adhere to international safety standards and regulations. Collaboration: - Work closely with other technical departments like engineering and deck crew to ensure smooth vessel operations. Key Qualifications: ✅ ETO Certification: Valid Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) certification. Experience: ✅ Relevant experience in offshore vessels, ideally construction or similar large vessels. STCW Certification: ✅ Compliance with the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) for seafarers. DP Experience: ✅ Experience with Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems is often required for construction vessels. Medical Fitness: ✅ Valid seafarer’s medical certificate to prove fitness for duty.
