Job Title: Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) – DP2 Module Carrier Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) with extensive experience in DP2 systems and strong electrical skills for a DP2 module carrier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, with a focus on dynamic positioning (DP) systems, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations. Key Responsibilities: - Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Dynamic Positioning (DP2) systems. - Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on all electrical systems aboard the vessel, including power distribution and automation systems. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (e.g., IMCA, DNV, etc.). - Support other technical departments in solving electrical-related issues. - Maintain and update electrical and technical documentation. - Participate in safety drills, emergency procedures, and equipment inspections. - Coordinate with bridge personnel and engineering crew to ensure smooth operation of the DP systems during operations. Qualifications & Experience: - Valid ETO certification compliant with STCW 2010 (A-III/6) regulations. - Experience with DP2 systems (Kongsberg, Converteam, or similar systems). - At least 3-5 years of experience on DP2 class vessels or module carriers. - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and control systems onboard ships. - Familiarity with PLC systems, fault-finding techniques, and maintenance of high-voltage systems. - DP Maintenance Certificate is highly desirable. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical electrical drawings and schematics. - Knowledge of IMCA guidelines for DP vessels. Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Additional Requirements: - Valid offshore medical and survival certification (BOSIET, HUET, etc.).
