Tasks - Perform independant watchkeeping duties i.e. maintain production during pipe lay/heavylift operations and prevent breakdowns - Maintenance and repairs on equipment - Act as per standing instructions - Conduct all activities and tasks in accordance with companies objectives and policies Qualifications - Mechanical engineer; general technical education (MTS level) - Fluent in English, buth written and spoken - Sufficient experience in offshore construction equipment including, but not limited to; pipe handling equipment, automatic welding systems, pipe tensioners and A&R equipment, ROV equipment - Experience with deck equipment, including but not limited to; winches, deck cranes, lifesaving appliances, compressed air systems - Familiar with hydraulics and controls of hydraulic systems - Experienced with tooling, use of lathe and milling machine and welding - Completion of all safety/trade training Competences - Knowledge of pipelay equipment - Flexible - Decisive - Good communication and team working skills - Result oriented
