What You Can Expect As a Crewing Manager, you will be an integral part of the HR Marine department, responsible for overseeing all HR matters related to personnel aboard our fleet. You will ensure that our vessels are crewed with trained and motivated individuals who meet business requirements. Your responsibilities include managing a large team of seafarers, overseeing budgets, and coordinating crew composition on board. This also includes planning and developing Captains and Chief Engineers, as well as liaising with our manning agents. Your role will aim to ensure efficient manning of our fleet, maximizing ship utilization. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure crew planning aligns with client requirements. - Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members and, when necessary, their families. - Actively contribute to crew development and the improvement of working practices and HR procedures. - Conduct appraisal meetings with the master and chief engineer, in collaboration with the vessel manager. - Handle illness cases and manage individual development plans. - Play an active role in recruiting new crew members and managing associated recruitment activities.
