Responsibilities Responsible for the following duties, as related to the housekeeping department: - Actively servicing of cabins in own station - Taking care of the potted plants in public areas Co-responsible for the following duties: - Implementing and maintaining the corporate standards and budgets in the housekeeping department - Correctly handling passenger and crew laundry, as well as laundry and uniforms laundered by external companies - Issuing, controlling, and ensuring return of company uniforms - Correctly handling and storing all housekeeping supplies, detergents, and equipment - Receiving and checking all deliveries for the housekeeping department - Maintaining impeccable cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness in the serviced cabins and all public passenger and crewmember areas - Assisting in taking inventory of the housekeeping department’s supplies, as per company’s instructions - Correctly distributing the daily programs, gift orders and correct turn down service in the assigned cabins, in cooperation with the Senior Receptionist - Issuing and controlling purchase orders for the housekeeping department in cooperation with the Senior Receptionist - Implementing correct appearance/uniformity, as well as standards of personal hygiene of all housekeeping crew - Performing various preparatory duties prior to and at the end of the season Qualifications - English spoken - Completed training (school) - 1 year of professional experience in a comparable position aboard a cruise ship Requirements - punctual - flexible - loyal - honest - ability to work under stress - motivated - strong constitution
