Responsibilities Responsible for the entire hotel department, including: - Implementing and maintaining the company standards and budgets in the hotel department - Managing the shop, beauty salon, and wellness department - Managing and motivating the entire crew, particularly the management staff. - Evaluating passenger comment sheets - Reviewing all orders made by the hotel department - Checking, controlling and signing for all supplies and delivery notes - Supervising the proper storage of all stock on board the vessel - Correctly handling all food & beverage stock, as well as all of the available equipment in the hotel department - Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all areas of the hotel department - Setting up of written duty rosters for all housekeeping staff, as well as planning of stations - Supervising all stock checks and inventories within the hotel department - Adhering to the onboard crew training program. - Adhering to the corporate uniform policy within the hotel department - Performing active onboard management - Maintaining an active presence in the galley and restaurant during meal times - Maintaining an active presence at all official onboard occasions and events - Continuously caring for and looking after all passengers onboard - Periodically performing inspections of passenger and crew areas and cabins - Handling complaints as per the company’s policy - Organizing and overseeing the realization of special occasions - Performing a final check of all information for passengers and crewmembers - Maintaining a smooth flow of information on board and adhering to the chain of command - Ensuring active communication with the captain, onboard management, crew and head office - Controlling and maintaining the cash book on board - Correctly listing all outgoing invoices - Coordinating regular crew performances Qualifications - English and German spoken and written - Completed vocational training - Several years of professional experience in managing comparable departments - A minimum of 8 years of Food & Beverage experience - Good computer skills and administrative experience Requirements - independence - management skills - flexibility - organizational skills - loyalty - honesty - objectivity - friendliness - passenger orientated - stress resistance
